Anyone else seen this?

Watched it last night and very much enjoyed a bloody excellent movie - tense, funny and very very poignant in places.

Plus, lots of big explosions and guns thumbup

Yeah, this was very good, especialy liked the counter sniper scene. Thought it would be a little more gory than it was though.

Have seen it and thought it was pants. The sniper scene is laughable with the "Chocks away Ginger" British accents and the yanks coming to the rescue. Sterotypical nosence.

And I find it very unbelievable that an insurgent armed with an AK47 managed to snipe them with no scope from half a mile away, but they can't get him down first shot with a 50cal sniper rifle.

I thought it was a Dragonov.

Maybe, I'm no expert. The flash arrestor looked like the 50 cal thats what I was going off.
Whatever it was, they should have stood a much better chance at getting the bad guy.

Dragunov is a sniper rifle based on the skeleton of the AK with a longer and heavier barrel (not sure if it's a free floater though). Still chambered for 7.62 long round, semi-auto, hugely reliable, very accurate up to 1000 yards and there's a para version with a folding buttstock. Looks fking mean too. laugh

The insurgent who ends up hanging out the window had an SVG. They shoot at him with a Barret Light 50

just back from seeing this. very good film.
thought the sniping bit was a bit odd, but wind directions could well have favoured the bad guys.

Yup + 1. They use the Barrett .50 cal - proper bit of kit.
