Grizzly Man - sooooo funny.

Sky +'ed this the other day and watched it tonight. Wifey went to bed as she didn't want to see a movie about a man eaten by bears...so me and 13 year old daughter watched it, havent laughed so much in ages!

Take a crazy "so far in the closet he's hanging out with Aslan" nutcase, have him get beaten by Woody for the part in Cheers, go more nuts, move to the woods, talk to bears, go more nuts and get eaten by bears. Aside from the eaten bit.....it was like Spinal Tap go camping.

I wanted to watch this, I have it on DVD. I turned it off after 15 minutes, Timothy Treadwell was horribly annoying. I couldn't watch him at all.

Pity as it's a Richard Thompson soundtrack.

try watching it again but instead of viewing it as a serious documentary, pretend it's actually an Office-esque comedy spoof. Once you do that and you've pissed yourself laughing at the abssurdity of the guy it makes far more entertaining viewing.

I saw clips of the film and thought it was an Office-esque/Spinal Tap comumentary - I am still suspicious that it is, and will watch it in that vein as the guy was obviously crackerjack.

I read up on treadwell before watching and ALL the internet evidence is that the guy is dead following a bear attack...so i sat down to watch it assuming it was all genuine.

Once the fox nicked his hat and he started running through the woods yelling "mr pickles, give me back that fkin hat" my daughter looked at me as if i was nuts (having told her it would be a tragic tale of one mans battle to protect the wildlife!) Once he started patting the bear st she googled Grizzly Man Hoax just to be sure!
