Pompous rubbish or bloody marvelous?

The latter if you ask me. Enjoyed watching tonight.

I'm with you Dan, the last night is very British and very enjoyable.
Mind you I did wonder why the BBC put it on in HD - it's not about the picture it's about the music!

Trace,
It will be on BBC iPlayer. Or just use YouTube!
BTW I think they missed the sea songs bit tonight.

The Proms are great. I haven't been for several years, but one year I went to loads of them including the last night at the RAH (not the park one), which had an amazing atmosphere.

They are the total opposite of pompous, and are a really excellent way to introduce someone to classical music, as there is such a huge variety across the season. I always used to go an sit on the floor above the top seats.

If threads are going to be pointlessly moved about, it could at least be to a relevent area.

Did I blink and miss Fantasia on British sea songs again this year?
