Shamelessly stealing off another thread...

What's the worst episode of a series? Now, it has to be a poor episode of a series that is normally quite good. Extra points if the episode is very different in tone or content to the rest of the series, or if you can actually explain why it's bad. I'll start...

Any 'flashbacks' episode

Voyager: 'Fair Haven' Where they get trapped in the Irish village. The plot mechanism (trapped in the holo-deck) is a cliché by then but the whole thing is horrible.

Buffy vampire slayer: Beer bad. Laziest metaphor ever and cringe worthy to watch. Who wants to see a load of american teenagers fake-acting drunk? The 'band candy' episode did this exact premise so much better.

X-files: FPS, where mulder/scully get caught in the computer game. It's just embarrassing to watch.

every 'clip show' of the simpsons. ever. They're terrible.

The last episode of The Sopranos. Not because it's a bad episode really, just a bit of an easy way out of ending the series. That and the fact I reeeaaally want to see it furthered. Mainly the latter.

The last episode of the first series of Prison Break where a devilishly clever + cunning prison break plan is reduced to:

1. Shin along a wire
2. Run across a field towards that freight train that's going just-slow-enough-to-jump-onto-but-fast-enough-that-the-cops-can't-jump-onto-it.

The Simpsons episode that ends with magical jockeys who live in trees. What on earth was that all about?

Friends - Joeys indentical hand twin. Even he isn't that stupid.

Blackadder III - the weakest series IMHO. The 'actors' and election episodes were a little poor.

Futurama - any of the latest DVD movies.

Scrubs - the fairy tale episode. Utter rubbish.

The Simpsons - The Paul/Linda McCartney episode.

Star Trek: The Next Generation: Darmok. Picard is trapped on a planet with an alien that only speaks in metaphors, the plot is thin even by Star Trek standards. How did a civilisation develop when the only phrase people can say is "Darmok and Jilad at Tennagra"? More to the point how did they discover the complicated laws of physics they have to break to be able to take part in a Star Trek episode?
