Did you watch the first episode from the spin off show NCIS LA, if so whats it like?
I'll watch both over the weekend.
Saw the NCIS Season 6 two-parter where they introduced the NCIS LA team but didn't like it that much, the team seemed too contrived, but I'll probably give the first stand-alone episodes a try if FXUK puts them on.I'll watch both over the weekend.

Firstly, I enjoyed NCIS S07E01 very much. I'm never too sure about eps that contain flashbacks, mostly they really annoy me. I'll agree about the Gibbs comment above towards the end, that was just shoddy, but overall I was sooo looking forward to this ep that it didn't disappoint.
As for NCIS LA. How different is that? I liked Louise Lombard in CSI and I think she suited the role in NCIS LA. I was surprised to find that LL had been replaced by Linda Hunt as Operations Manager for the series.
Who in their right mind replaces

(although she does have something of Rosa Klebb about her!)
Louise seemed to give the LA Op some gravitas, it seems lost now. From the choice of office/base of operations, which is totally unbelievable, to the the acting of 'G' and Sam, I'm just not feeling it.
Maybe 'Rosa' will be the endearing character that holds it all together. I'm trying to like it, but just not getting it right now.
