It's not in any way, shape or form a 'documentary'. it is state sponsored propaganda, pure and simple - just by watching the trailors you can suss the real motives behind the making of the program.

UI actually thought it was quite good. Obviously, getting Brown and Darling to contribute meant that they were allowed have their say. The fact that they were there doesn't mean you have to agree with what they said. I certainly don't - but still worth watching, I thought.

It was OK

I do agree though that it is a bit early to make a programme about an event the full consequences of which we have yet to see. You did get the impression from the programme that there was an event last September that was dealt with and no everything is back to normal. They didn't mention the fact that the British economy is still on life support.

It may be a bit early, but it wasn't the first. Channel 4 did a good documentary series a couple of months ago.

I have no problem listening to government ministers - even if I don't agree with their analysis of events. If they jumped and said, "I admit it - it was all my fault", I'd probably suffer a coronary with the shock.
