B-movie sci-fi film question

Years ago I watched an old BW science fiction film about an astronaut who went to the moon, and I'm trying to think what it was called.
Before the astronaut leaves Earth, his son gives him a keyring for good luck.
The astronaut gets to the moon but something has gone wrong, and he has to find another lunar lander with fresh oxygen/water/food in it. He has only a limited time to do this, and has no idea which direction the second ship might be in. So he holds up the lucky key ring, lets it spin round until it stops, then sets off in the direction it indicates.
Just as he's breathing his last gasp, he sees the flashing red light on the top of the second ship and so is saved.
But what the heck is the film called?
