Park is one of my favourite directors and really got me into far eastern film.
Sympathy for Mr Vengence is very clever in a Pulp Fiction type way, and the concept and twists of Oldboy are of course superb.
Lady Vengence really finishes off the trilogy well.
It is so refreshing after Hollywood cinema to NOT have a hero, but merely a protagonist who is flawed and human.
I would also check out his earlier J.S.A as well about the DMZ in Korea. Great film.

OldBoy is part of a pseudo-trilogy.
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
OldBoy
Lady Vengeance.
Lady Vengeance was, financially, the most successful of the 3.
I have the other 2 on DVD but haven't got round to watching them yet.
I thought that Sympathy for Mr Vengeance was excellent, but I didn't enjoy Lady Vengeance as much as the other two. Perhaps it was because I had an idea of Chan-Wook's style by this point & I didn't find it quite as surprising... Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
OldBoy
Lady Vengeance.
