The title of this always out me off, but watched the advanced screening on Sky Anytime HD last night when I had nothing to do - very moving film highly recommended if you have Sky Movies right now...

We were trying to chose which film to watch last night on Sky Anytime, the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas or Blindness, we watched the latter - what a depressing going nowhere film that was! Is the other any better?

Glad I chose mine then and I only choose that as it was late and the BISP was only 90 mins compared to 117 mins for Blindness - won't bother with that then!

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a very good film, and the book is better.

The book was aimed at young kids as a way of introducing the holocaust to them. Still translates to the film well

not seen the film yet but i read the book in about 2 hours on a flight home last week. very good read, though i wondered how believeable the ending would come across on film.

btw - read it on a flight full of orthodox jews, i must have read the page with the swastika on in about half a second!

I hated it and it's premise. Total and utter tripe.

In fact i thought it was an anti-semitic movie - they made the Jewish boy so dislikable and portraying many negative Jewish stereotypes.
