So the new US TV season has just started, lots of new shows and new seasons of old shows so I thought I would start a thread were people can give reviews of whats worth watching.

The shows I have seen so far:

The Office Season 6: Brilliant start, this has gone from strength to strength. The first episode and the hour long (40 minute) wedding episode had me in stitches.

The Big Bang Theory Season 3: Great show really getting into it's stride now, the first three episodes have all been very good

Family Guy Season 8: Meh, not been a good start, seems like it maybe be another bad season like season 5 which was dire. This show really needs more consistency.

Flashforward: I'm enjoying this so far.

Anyone been watching any of the other new seasons?

Until Burn Notice, Royal Pains, and 24 start, I won't be watching any of the other network stuff. Just doesn't catch my attention (and I live here)...

The Multiverse episode was good but Episode 2 (family Goy) was completely devoid of anything funny.

I'm with you on The Office, Flash Forward and Family Guy.

The Clevelend show isn't bad either, although not an equal to American Dad or Family Guy.

Dexter is another brilliant US show, recently begun it's 4th season.

Not having been a fan of the previous stargate series, I am liking Star Gate: Universe- probably helped by the fact it has Robert Carlyle in.

Also, Curb Your Enthusiasm has begun it's 7th series, very very good show.

The first couple were promising, i've not watched the other Stargate spinoffs as they never appealed but I quite enjoyed SG:U.

Flashforward seems ok at the moment, but i'm not sure how long it will able to last, they need to do something special otherwise it is basically going nowhere. It's a bit difficult to get excited when the basic premise is that you already know what will happen biggrin

One show i'm really enjoying, even though it is extremely gay, is Glee. If you liked the film Role Models, then this will be right up your alley.

Wow, the Simpsons didn't even get a mention...

And I'm not surprised, watched the first two episodes, and it really was utter rubbish!

Big Bang Theory seems to be getting better and better, I thought the first series wasn't that good, but 2nd series onwards is great

Also, nobody has mentioned Californication! its great, and episodes so far have been good!

A couple more I have caught up with tonight:

Curb Your Enthusiasm, Season 7: What can you say? It's great. Larry fighting with the blister pack is just one of the funniest things ever.

It's Always Sunny In Philladelphia, Season 5: The perfect antidote to the feel good stuff of Big Bang and The Office, so horrid and low it's untrue. Brilliant brilliant comedy.

Watching Lie to me, which is also on Sky1 on thursdays. Still think its a good concept, just lacking any real continuity between episodes.

Also waiting for Breaking Bad and Lost.

yes I do like Bones. However they did the usual cop-out nonsense (the series that is showing on Sky 1)and put the dynamic between Bones and Booth back to how it was. This happens all the time in TV series; the powers that be have found a formula that works and are terrified of any development or changes.

NCIS (FX, new series) kind of did the same thing but in a much more subtle way. That was good telly. thumbup

Don't forget Fringe. Started back on Sky last Sunday and is looking like it is going to continue to be as good as series one was when it finished up.

Luanda, Angola.

Most series are delayed by a couple of weeks here to allow the subtitlers time to do their thing.

They are only showing the first 4 episodes then it stops before coming back in March '10

There is also the miniseries (six parts) remake of 'The Prisoner' starting in November. Co-financed by ITV so suppose they will show it at some point. Trailer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wv24gVSWhj4

There is another one called 'Persons Unknown', but cannot find a start date for it. Trailer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrIi_D-VoLs
