Thought that was fairly brilliant. Planet Earth was really a level above anything that's been filmed before about wildlife and I think this will live up to it.
As the opening episode it was a bit of an overview, so rather general, but I imagine some of the others may be a bit more focussed. Anyway the quality of the footage is fantastic as well as the behaviour so I know I'll watch the whole lot avidly.

I agree the footage is amazing as always from the BBC Bristol lot, but it didn't catch my imagination as previous series (not just Planet Earth, but Blue Planet and Nature's Great Events). Hopefully though being the index to the series it will be a lot better next week.I liked it. Life finding a way (Didn't Dr Alan Grant say that in Jurassic Park?.........)
Animals doing things you don't expect them to be doing, or changing their natural habits, Dolphins herding fish using mud (smoke), Frogs using nursery pools in plants, Cheetahs hunting in groups to take down bigger prey, monkeys using tools and more.
Next week : A water skiing baboon and a Tiger that has solved cold fusion.
