My friend recently lent season 1 of Heroes. I am currently on Disc 4. I am absolutely hooked on this show. I watch an episode before going to work, I try and watch as many as I can before falling asleep. This is possibly IMHO one of the more interesting series on television and refreshingly original.

I am happy to have the DVD and not to have and watch it on television with the interruption of advertisements.

Each episode keeps me captivated and wanting more; It is nice to simply press the button for the next episode and not have to wait until "next week" to find out what happened.

I find Hiro Naga(whatever his last name is) a very likable character. He is hysterical, especially when he reaches both hands in the air and shouts in excitement, such as the first time he teleported from Tokyo to the middle Time Square in NYC.

Claire Bear is very cute, I bet she smells like roses LOL wink

I like Nikki's alter ego Jessica, she is very sexy! Although she has a bit of a trailer trash ambiance about her, and her teeth are... unique let's say. They look sort of like chicklets gum, and they are very square and perfectly in line with each other as if she had them shaved all to the same length.

I can go on forever, but I would love to hear your thoughts on Heroes. Please take note however that I am just up to the episode where Hiro as stolen the sword and young Petrelli has managed to convince the invisible man to help him.

If your posts are going to contain spoilers please forewarn me and those who have not yet had the privilege of watching Heroes yet. Thank you! smile

I tried watching it and thought it was very very poor.

I've enjoyed it - its not consistently good - at its best its fantastic, at its worst its pretty dire.

Probably works considerably better when viewed as a whole though. I did that after the second series, sat down with a friend to go through the whole of season 2, and it definitely held together much better when viewed like that.

The 1st series is a very good watch. It's just a shame that the next one's in my opinion are pretty dull, they feel a need to repeat the same basis of the story and it doesn't go anywhere. I don't like giving up on a series but I won't be watching the 4th if it comes from the States to the BBC.

The first series is excellent. The second isn't too great, but is thankfully short (writers strike). The 3rd is a return to form, if not actually any better than the first. I'm looking forward to the 4th on BBC.

4th is very good.

Why the feck are the beeb not showing it yet though? Practically half way through the season now.

As ever though, Sylar is the best part of it. Matt Parkman is a complete and utter doofus (?). Peter is an imbecile. Hiro is a likeable buffoon. Nathan is still dead (and all the better for it). The cheerleader .... well, her only saving grace has been the boring lesbian bit ....

I just viewed the episode where sylar and mareesh (or whatever his name is, the indian geneticist) team up, but then mareesh realizes that he is sylar and drugs him. But what pisses me off is how everyone keeps sylar sedated and alive to analyze him, I wish they would just kill him already!!

The moment he passed out after drinking the tea I would have chopped him up in 10 different pieces and then incinerated them all in 10 different spots.
