It's all about cars and transport tonight and they are doing a better job than 5th Gear, although of course Jon Bentley is/was the 5th Gear producer and former Top Gear presenter. wink

The sand buggy looked like good fun. Mind, at seventeen grand, it should be.

That hoverboard was great!!!

TGS is a really good programme. They know what they are talking about, and seem to have a really good time whilst doing so.

Only good show on Five at the moment I reckon. Shame it's on at the same time as University Challenge.

It's good as far as it goes, they do mess up when it goes into areas they don't know much about though. For example the iPod versus Hi-Fi test was pretty crap!!

Strange, the Mrs. spotted it on I'm A Celebrity on Saturday night - it was on the wooden table in front of forehead and Dec.

As for Gadget Show - I am getting a bit sick of it, it's becoming less and less about gadgets.

e.g. - The Gadget Show wall of fame - choice between a mini and a VW Beetle? Erm, hello, they are cars not gadgets.

A car is a gadget, it's something designed and used to make our lives easier. smile

They need to sack that Otis guy. His presenting style is terrible. Should have stuck to kids TV.

Didn't see it this week as I was Forza racing, but I do like the show, even if they do say 'gadge' too much.

this topic is so accurate its untrue.

The gadget show has got more and more like 5th gear each series, and has now just about dumbed itself down to that level.

They've got it all, idiot annoying presenters, stupid 'challenges' between the presenters, summaries of whats coming up and adverts every 5 minutes, and the competition that they spend more time on than the actual reviews.

I used to watch the gadget show religiously, gradually I've been finding I fast forward thro it more and more, and this series, I've not even bothered watching the recordings past the first 5 minutes when they tell you what rubbish they 'featuring'.

Its a great shame really, as there is some great gadget and techy stuff out there that they could review, but it seems they just cant be arsed...

I dunno, maybe when I've got a spare 10 minutes I'll fast forward thro this series and watch the 'decent' bits..

Very well put. It takes about 15 minutes to watch if you skip all the 'coming up next', 'before the break' and 'what you could win'
