Everyone's raving about this being "the scariest film they'd ever seen". Anyone seen it? I'm definately not watching it. What's it about? Is it horribly scary?

I think it might be about activity that isn't quite normal.

Being polite its crap,a more polished Blair witch would be the best way to describe it.

Have you noticed that these clips have American audiences in? That's why the idiots were crying and jumping around scared, bloody sappy Americans smile !

American audiences are very different to British ones. If you watched some footage of our audiences you would see people more interested in throwing pop corn at each other!

I've seen it and thought it was pretty poor, it could have been so much better. They build up quite a good atmosphere in the house and you are waiting for something scary to happen but it never really materialises.

Is that the remake with Sarah Michelle Gellar. If so I found that the most dull, tedious, non-scary dreadful disappointment.

Awful film.

I'm surprised by the bas reviews. I watched it in a full theatre and it was something of a social event. Every mans girl was grasped to their arm, lots of screaming and dead silence. It was fun, haven't had that atmosphere in a long time.

The movie itself was very good I thought, especially considering it only had a cast of 3, and 1 of the 3 was in the movie all but of an accumulative 8 min or so. Remember, it only cost 15 grand to make and has grossed millions!!

IMHO it was way better than Blair Witch. But to be fair I disliked BW, mostly for its camera work.

My advice, take your OH to the latest showing they have and restassured she will be putty in your arms by the middle of it all.

I take your point,

I haven't seen the film, only the trailer which I thought was pretty good as trailers go.

as a 15 I just assumed it wouldn't be that scary - that is all.

Usually reeaally scary films are 18's probably for the reasons you mentioned

+1

Watched it last night expecting to be amazed, but was thoroughly disappointed.
