Maybe I should be posting in a general area, but feel a close affinity with many other Porsche owners .... I sat tonight and watched the hamster plunge into new depths of stupidity and juvenile slapstick trying to race and destroy airport utlility vehicles. I bet he thought of that one and the producers had to go along with it.

Then the really so not so overdone non-funny homosexual sketch with look alike Village People, with the canned laughter in abundance. Was the audience really laughing or are they a very simple lot easily led by a idiot board. I must say this seemed to persist throught the show, even James May seemed a bit embarassed .... All three this week seemed to run out of anything new, even Clarksons "I watched an interesting film about Lesbians" got a huge (canned laugh) ....

Then the 4X4 racing, mildly entertaining, but we all knew what would happen.

Then trashing the little Renault for Mr Needham, if only JC had done a humorous road test, of years ago.

Star in the Car ..... I must admit I suffer this most weeks, but again the cheap laughter and boring subject, he actually drove like a van driver...

Seems they need a complete make over, new script writer and new blood, the little guy is now getting very irritating, ever since pushing that trolley up a mountain. Being stupid and simple is just not funny anymore.

I would love the show to return to be funny and entertaining, but they serve this up to the masses and judging by the "live" audience thinks they are getting away with it .... treating everyone with a similar IQ to the little fall guy it seems.

I thought the episode two weeks ago was the worst ever, I think this one takes the biscuit.

It was awful.

How long before someone gets really injured (killed) doing these infantile stunts.

The airport thing was a disgrace - and we paid for that!!!

I sound like a Daily Mail reader from Tunbridge Wells, but this programme is becoming a disgrace..

Lowering to knob gags because of someone's name was another low!

Which stunts did you think were dangerous? You do know Top Gear makes (rather than costs) money? It's sold all over the world.

More entertaining than most TV programs. What stuns me is how seriously people take it.

Tonight's was funny but half a bottle of wine, 2 beers and a liqueur coffee may have increased the humour value.

Shame they drove it to destruction.

That whole episode was so awful I suspect even Dave would be embarrassed to re-run it!

I'm fairly sure that Health and Safety are rather involved in these stunts and that the actual likelihood of injury (jet car crash withstanding) is low.

I like it, but then I watch it for what it is, an entertaining TV show based around cars. If you are looking for a live version of EVO mag, you've got the wrong programme.

Gutted. I've been worried it's been getting worse since the beginning of the series. It's just made for simple people with simple humour now (maybe they're aiming at those X5M and Q7 owners?!) I used to enjoy the car/entertainment balance, even if all the cars featured were Audis, BMW's, Mercs or VW's, plus the occasional Aston, Ferarri or Porsche. You could have a laugh watching Top Gear, and watch Wheeler Dealers, A Car Is Born or some other Discovery re-run for your petrolgeek fix.

Now it's just ste. Won't be bothering to tune in next time.

Game over lads!

I see what the OP is trying to do, you're determined to see if TGP are reading PH to see if this thread will be mentioned on the next show!

average episode, however the bit with ross kemp was genius! Its definately more of a comedy/fact show now but thats no bad thing. 350 million people cant be wrong and the more fact based 5th gear is no more

It's turned into that "Vroom" program that was on sky, It's dead now. The Twingo thing got to me aswell just seemed pointless to the point of being offensive, somebodys has got to clear up that mess after them.
