Ladies & Gents,

I'm hoping the films buffs & avid cinema go'ers can help me here...

I'm trying to find a specific venue...Think oldschool tiny indepenndant cinema! Here are a few things I'm looking for in particular.

-A VERY small venue, it doesn't need to be big at all, just for me & a gorgeous girl! If it's available for hire, it's preferred.

-Plays older/classic films or we can choose our own?

-A library nearby or even with in the "screening room" if thats even possible? She has a real penchant for books too!

-The seating has to be RED. Long story!

-It just HAS to have an oldskool "feel" to it.

ANY ideas or tips are appreciated! Thanks! Hopefully PH can come to the rescue again! thumbup

Smallest cinema in London used to be the Minema on the Strand (I think, it's been a while) but that closed 9 years ago, or so I found on searching.

The smallest cinema that I have been to in London was the Odeon Mezzanine in Leicester square. I can't recall if the seats were red, and it wasn't very old school, well, not to my definition of the words.

You'd probably be better looking further out - the Odeon on Parkway in Camden town may fit the bill IIRC ... bear in mind I haven't lived in London for the last 4/5 years though!

That looks almost perfect.

They appear to have a 2 seater sofa thingmajig on the floor plan...That maybe EXACTLY what I need. Anyone ever used that?

They used to be a client of mine. I would say it was exactly what you are looking for.

How about the Prince Charles Cinema just off Leicester Square? It appears you can hire it out but they also have two-seater seats at the back, perfect for a romantic liaison!

A bit of thread resurrection guys...Just tried the Electric. Apparently the sofa's are at the back of the cinema rather than in a seprate room from the rest of the cinema (Which is what I was actually hoping for)...Any other suggestions boys & girls?

Sounds all a bit mad but what about the Coronet just near the Electric. It's old, too. But I haven't been there for several years.
