Awesome film...one of the best fight scenes ever...in the cafe with Duran Duran in the background.

In my top 5 films list, love it.

I was very influenced to buy my car but this film, I know it's not an RS6 but it doesn't stop me from driving around in my Silver S4 Avant with The Cult playing....

When I first bought it I took it round to a non-Petrolhead freinds house and the first thing he said was... "Holy st you bought the car from layer Cake" made it all worthwhile.

Completely disagree biggrin

If it had the standard Hollywood ending (The alternative ending), then it just wouldn't have been as memorable.

I have the DVD and the director said they thought it was a more appropriate ending as X was a killer/drug dealer after all.

I've read Layer Cake...

Very god book, once you get used to the almost phonetic writing style. Far more depth in the book and the who thing is a lot grittier and seedy, also the ending is very different...

Just felt it was a bit too random.

Random? He steals criminal/thugs girlfreind and destroys his uncles gang and then gets shot by said criminal/thug, doesn't sound that random.

You live in a world of crime and screw people over there are going to be repurcussions.

The ending is shrill and the viewer wants their money/time back. But who cares, its a crappy British B movie.

By the way, I can see a future for you, dispensing your 'world of crime insights' to kids in schools in tough areas. hehe

You dont see him actually die at the end, which may mean there might be a part two sometime?
