I just watched Batman and Robin. The concept of a 'cold beam' (could be real, don't beat me if it is) actually offended me. And the line 'you're compost' before smacking Ivy in the chops was a little... Adam West.
I'm so very glad he'snot making Batman films anymore.

Though, having finished that - I'm now on the '89 Burton flick - far better. How did Schumacher go so very badly wrong...?

because Joel Schumacher is nothing but a hack director. The 2 Tim Burton films were brillaint pieces of gothic comic book masterpieces. Batman Forever was pretty dreadful but Batman and Robin killed the franchise. Schumacher claimed he was only doing what the studio wanted, making the films more open and appealing to a wider audience than Burtons slightly quirky ones but he royally fked it up. Batman forever wasnt even a batman film, it was a Jim Carrey wkathon and Batman and Robin was just godawful in everyway. Also he brough the world bat nipples, fking bat nipples!

Yeh, the third Batman film in that franchise went completely Westlike, there were a few things from the second I didn't like, but the third was just toilet, as was the last one. Thank the Gods for Nolan's new franchisebiggrin
