Usual polished fayre again...

BUT...one let down....

the big explosion at the end...i thought the CGI was really poor, i know it's not hollywood but even to a non geeky person it looked wooden.

I thought the same. Basically, Ros had to move out of the room with the bomb, head down the hall 3 or 4 rooms and up 1 floor and she'd be fine. In fact, I bet she is still there wondering if the bomb was a dud.
Lucas probably got more hurt by flying shrapnel.

Briliant start to the series, slowly going off-boil throughout and ending up pretty pants. I was disappointed frown

Nail. Head.

Last episode was a bit of a damp squib - really poor ending with the naff cliffhanger - huge build up for the whole series with the nightingale stuff and no satisfying ending to it. If there is another series (which I hope there is) they would be better just dropping the nightingale plotline or killing it off quickly - it had potential, but the last episode ruined it. Agree on the crappy explosion effect at the end too.

The crappy explosion at the end wasn't as bad as the submarine at the start. The sub was diving, but played in reverse to look like it was surfacing. All the water was flowing in a weird backwards way.

I'm hoping that the Nightingale thing carries on, it's got good potential that's been wasted if that's it.
