Sad/moving/thought provoking films
Discussion
Not sure if I want to admit this
, but I watched 'Bridge to Terabithia' the other day on TV in a 'what the hell' sort of moment. It looked like a stupid rip off another fantasy film like Narnia/Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings... and found it surprisingly good, yet deeply saddening. I've never found a film that moving before but it was meant to be a kids film? Maybe because it took me by surprise. What's going on with me?
If you haven't watched it, watch the whole thing without knowing beforehand what happens. I thought it was superb.
What films have you found (unexpectedly) moving/sad/depressing/thought provoking?
One that makes me think is 'Good Will Hunting'.
