I've just found a load of old scrapheap challenge episodes on 4od;

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/scrapheap-chall...

Shame it came to an end in a decent format really. I'm currently re watching the classic car flinger episode from series 5 - "proper job!"

Same here. This new format is just a muddled mess. Also dare I say it, Strawbridge does NOT work as a presenter.
The programme just comes across as me, me, me all the time.

I think thats the last we shall hear of that programme. Such a shame frown Lack of money and H&S I suspect killed it off.

That one was an alltime classic. Also quite liked one of the Scrappy Races ones where the barley pickers made a giant tractor out of a lorry.

Best episode evah. I just love the way the jolly farmer (proper job!) just seemed to go "Oh well, we had a laugh,"

Very refreshing attitude.

The first series of the scrappy races was great. Their tractor was definitely in the 'wacky races spirit'. I think that the last few series suffered because they were lacking teams that were as good, or as entertaining, as the first few. There was nobody later on as good as the chaos crew, barley pickers or megalomaniacs.
The specials were good too. The Wright brothers celebration plane one in particular.

It's just a different program now Dick Strawbridge is presenting. A less good program.
