Law Abiding Citizen! Wooooo! Yeah! Congratulations!

Just finished watching a film that for the first hour was engrossing and thought provoking then the final 40 minutes appeared to be from a 80's feel good hero film.

Could have been called 'Top Citizen', 'Days of Citizen' or 'The Running Citizen'

It looked like it was going to be a Natural Born Killers or Fight Club standard look at the problems with society but in the end the big man hero with his gruff but lovable sidekick saved the day and did a slow motion run away from an explosion.

The worst bit was that after the hour point it seemed to change into a by-the-numbers hero saves the day Hollywood romp. Maybe in the future they'll release a directors cut with an ending that the film semed to be building to and that it actually deserved.

Very dissapointed.

One last thing, has there ever been a film with an Engineer for a main character that doesn't go insane and start killing people?

Back to the future? Sure he was insane, but he didn't kill. Oh, and personally, i liked the film. I guess it's one of those "Each to their own" situations smile

Was Marty an Engineer? Doc Brown was a scientist wasn't he?

He was something similar. It's the best i could think of. Wallace from Wallace and Gromit was an Engineer. He never killed. Is this more to your liking? biggrin
