FFS smile - there is a TV show a bit like location location location where people go and buy houses in the countryside - funnily enough. last night there was a chap with a c-type replica who wanted a house in hampshire with a garage for it in. happy now. it will still only men something to someone who saw it or the man himself!

i know i am a middle aged woman but we like this show as 'tea time viewing' so we 'video' it!

anyway - did you see it yesterday - the brilliant man with the c-type rep.

are you anything to do with PH..?

OK - I might not like the mods needlessly moving threads about, but this one is in the wrong place.

And doesn't make any sense!

if you knew anything about it it would make sense. i am not about to embark on some flowing prose just so you understand it..!

and i think it IS the right place because i was more wondering about the chap than the fact it's a TV show..

Agree with Puggit - OP simply fails to write a coherent sentence.

Well the OP is now rewritten (albeit with poor grammar) - but I still don't understand why it's in the news section?

The OP seems to be simply asking if anybody watched "escape to the county" on television, late yesterday afternoon. The program featured a chap with a C type kit, who wanted to move to the country....................................

Hardly earth shattering news and unless he was Call me Dave or Winky, can’t see the relevance of posting it here, rather than the TV forum

Where's an over-zealous mod when you need one?

The OP will still be able to sleep tonight!

___

So did anyone else see this or not? Does anyone know the chap? I was just wondering how they got on that's all! it was the first time on one of those shows I was even remotely 'bothered' about whether or not they succeeded!

Thank you for reading this. You can get back to the Chaucer now.

Well I watched it. Big fella, his missus and new born, he'd had a motorbike accident and was using the compo and selling his Croydon place to buy one place in Berkshire and one in South Wales.

Except they didn't, they just sold one house and bought another.

And he didn't even get a "kit car" because he didn't buy a house with a garage.

It was a rubbish episode smile

I watch the show regularly, and still didn't understand the OP. I find it best to watch with the volume off though as I find most of the buyers very annoying wanting to "pick up one house and move it to another spot and for half the asking price". I just like seeing the houses and countryside.

I had to google "c type", does this mean my membership here will be cancelled?. If it does, could someone confirm what it is before I am expelled as google came back with a type of colour photograph print, a Jaguar or a form computer programming language.

I am guessing Jaguar.

I'm intrigued now..
Since the OP is reluctant to discuss the show's contents with anyone other than someone who watched the show, care to enlighten us? The rest of us might understand why it was originally posted in NP&E then. smile

Here you go, the show is still on BBC iPlayer...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00qbwpg/Esca...

The good bit is at 6m28s when our hero drives his (replica) C type out of the garage.

Nothing to add really, though, at a guess would say that it was posted in NP&E by mistake. The couple in the programme (Escape To The Country BBC2 5.15pm week days) came across as a really nice couple. The chap had an interest in cars and, had what looked like a very nice replica of a C type Jaguar. I must admit to wondering at the time (as did the OP), is the chap a member of PH.

Incidentally, the chap in the following programme had an old Morgan.
