All new films? New actors? Would it be a cartoon? Will he ever create something original and good again?

Well as it says in the article, he's filming Red Tales, which could be interesting

"This isn't the first time Lucas has re-worked the original trilogy. The first three films alone went on to generate £1billion after they were re-released in 1997.

He spent more than £5 million on updating the films he shot in the 1970s and 80s and inserting scenes and characters with CGI technology"

Mow that what I CALL a return on investment!!!

I liked the first re-workings. They added scenes like Jabba The Hutt into "A New Hope" and also included more aliens and starships into otherwise sparse scenes. The changing of certain details in later re-cuts was annoying. Han Solo just shoots the assassin in the Cantina in the first two "versions". The last "cut" had the Assassin firing first. Han is redeemed during the story so it seems that rather like Spielberg in "E.T." Lucas is trying to "clean up" the characters or situations.

I've heard that he will also be recreating American Graffitti, however modernising it to bring it right up to date for a modern audience.

The cars will all be modified Japanese machinery.
It will be set around a modern urban street racing scene.
Obviously Harrison Ford is far to old to recreate the character of Bob Falfa, so Vin Diesel has been cast in his place.

George Lucas has burned up all his talent and sold his soul to remaster 2 okay movies, 1 good one and 3 bags of ste until the end of his time.

He's out of ideas and clearly can't be arsed using his resources to give something new to audiences.

American Graffiti , Star Wars and Empire are the only really decent films George Luca$ has made, he is an average film maker and a terrible director. He should stick to producing films for other people and at least collaborating on ideas for films.

If people enjoy his movies then thats one thing, I really lik American Graffiti and the first 2 (original) star wars movies, but if your being objective about it, he's pretty average. However, he is top of the league when it comes to turning a healthy profit.

Would that be "2 fast 2 Furious 2 late"?

Oh yes. Come on George, lets start a trend here. Going back over your old catalogue, can we have 'Howard the Duck 3D' bounce

If this is just a 3d convertion then why? But then again HD has took off in a large way.

Perhaps a shelf of the future would be.

8mm
Phillips 2000
Laserdisc
Betamax
VHS
DVD
HDDVD
Blu Ray
3D
Not forgetting the DIVX HD rip.

Just to make sure I keep up with it all. (Have I missed any?).
