How much do TV actors earn?

I'm not talking about big stars, but what kind of fee would a relatively unknown actor get for something like being a patient in a casualty episode, or being the main character in an advert?

Couple of hundred max.

I think that as an "extra" you get about £50 a day to just stand around in the background etc.. A mate of mine used to do this a few years ago, so I don't know if rates have changed.

Standard Equity rates, i.e not a lot.

The lower cast members of the lower soaps used to earn about £20k a year (10yrs ago), but supplement it with personal appearances.

probably alot more now but about 10 years ago a major player like mike baldwin from corrie would pull in about 80K.

Extra would hope for £80-100, talking extra maybe £200

Regular on a BIG soap - £250k - £300k...plus appearances. Sounds a lot but many of those guys have worked their way up through some pretty stty jobs in a very tough market - they also give up all freedom to privacy, for the sort of money that many other people working at the top of their industries would want in a xmas bonus.

One of my relatives used to do walk on stuff...not really well paid at all, they do it for the big time i guess - which does happen, one of his kids is now a Hollywood star paid millions so you never know.

WO3 a few hundred? Advert for regional a few hundred, for national can be 1000s. The bigger the advert the bigger the buy-out.
