There was a brief mention of this before CSI on Five last night. A bit of Googling revealed this:

http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00028308.html

Looks like Vegas, Miami and the other one are all getting together for a party.

I may overdose.

Apparently Lawrence Fishburne's character goes from Vegas to Miami to New York to solve a case.

I can't wait!

as much as I like the new Lawrence character he plays too big a role for a jnr CSI. Yes holywood star but why are we not seeing more of the other CSI's ?

Dont watch Miami, my eyes cannot cope with the over saturation, contrast and constant use of smoked filters. New York loses me due to the constant use of the stupid interactive 3d hologram computer. Vegas at leasts keeps it mostly real

"Dr Ray" aapears to be being setup for a fall rather like the "other" character that replaced Grissom for a while so I'm looking for further clues every time I see him. I notice Hodge's is beginning to have more of an influence on current episodes. His "relationship" with Simms could be something used in later episodes.

Lawrence' character was always going to be the Grissom replacement. He's a big Hollywood star. It doesn't matter that the character is junior in rank. Columbo wasn't chief of police.

CSI is still an ensemble piece. Thoroughly enjoying the new series.

high profile actor, must command a high salary, so they've got to get their money's worth

orange overload
and Horatio Caine will assume guilt even though their is none, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty

tech overload
must take hours to create a pretty powerpoint presentation, that will be on screen for about 3seconds

Horatio is the reason I can't watch Miami.

Every 5 seconds its the same ritual:

Walk into room.
Stand sideways.
Look down.
Take off glasses.
Look up.
Make quip.
Glasses back on.
Leave room.

Change the record!

I counted he did the glasses off thing 5 times in one episode recently.

Miami is a caricature of CSI. Can't stand it myself. We watch the other two...but I'll put up with the Miami episode of Trilogy.

I hope you didn't wait too much.

I really rate CSI (Vegas), and CSI: NY comes a close second. On that scale, Emily Procter handling guns aside, pouting-Caruso and Miami comes in a close eigth, or maybe ninth.

Trilogy was "OK" - nowhere near as good as the Miami that introduced Mac Taylor and NY, mind. But better than the "Without a Trace" crossover. Fishy basically held it together, I reckon. Tenuous moralising doesn't do it for me, but Doctor Ray can just about pass it off.

Watched it all last night (we'd recorded it).

None of the Trilogy shows were as good as the series they were based on.

Agreed.
Langston is a good character IMO, always would be hard to follow in the footsteps of Grissom, but Fishy is doing a stellar job IMO

I like all the CSIs, Vegas probably the most though, its the feel/atmosphere of the show that keeps it real IMO
