Citroens on the BBC

Hello all,

I've noticed recently that the BBC seem to be using rather a lot of Citroens in their productions recently - noticably in Survivors and the recent Paradox pseudo-sci-fi series.

Has anyone got any info on this? Does the BBC do product placement deals with car manufacturers?

Just interested and wondering if anyone else has noticed, or if I'm imagining it.

I wondered the same on this weeks Hustle.

The camera panned over the Volkswagen badge on the black van showing an adverts worth of coverage

If there is product placement going on it is being done by the production companies, not the BBC.

Leo in Silent Witness used to turn up in a C6.
I think I could stomach cutting up dead bodies if I wafted to work in a C6 and Emilia Fox was waiting for me.

Appearances of new/striking/unusual cars in TV programmes has been going on for ages.
Des Barnes in Corrie had one of the first 145 Cloverleafs.
