I was thinking the other day about how the humans have taken to crashing probes into surfaces of other planets and if there is any life on the said planet it might be pretty shocked and at the same time pretty pissed off at this unprovoked aggression by the "aliens".
So I thought it would be cool to make a movie where the story is told from the aliens' point of view.
Imagine this advanced civilisation that just about mastered the faster than light travel or has such incredibly long life spans that a 10 year trip at near speed of light is like 4 week visit to the ISS for us.
Anyway, they stumble upon a planet called earth and due to extremely long times it takes for them to send any data back and forth and the telescopes not being powerful enough to view the planet's surface in detail, they decide to crash a probe into earth, not realising that earth in fact does contain intelligent life (or thinkingthat our level is below their level of intelligence and hence, not classed as intelligent by the aliens). We of course take it as an act of agression, unite under this "threat" and within 10 years build a unified space programme so advanced that we are now able to ascertain where the aliens are from and reach them with some nukes.
It all goes pear shaped from there, the aliens are outraged at our behaviour and step up their efforts too. obliterate our civilisation, make a colony and use us for slaves. The end.
I suppose a love story needs to be thrown in there (preferably interplanetary).
1. Any good to you?
2. Have you any scenarios you would like to share?

Seems like a lot of sci fi films as is tbh, maybe some slight variations but essentially the same. Avatar - humans attack an alien planet for some valuable material, they get together, get rid of humans. And of course the love plotline thrown in too. Probably others but i cant think of any.

Our kids kinda enjoyed it, but I loved the thing, and the references to other films - popped up all over the place.
Would the story of "War of the Worlds" told from the Martians perspective make a good film?
Explorers sent to discover a new world, lands outside Woking and decides the planet has no intelligent life, so decide to make use of the natural resources. Tries to cultivate their own vegetation (the red weed), and eats the two legged cattle indigenous to the planet. Get sick, die, the end.

I like your plot, but would like to see it in the opposite direction:
The film starts with a man (or woman) brushing bread crumbs off a worktop. The camera zooms into the bread crumbs in great detail as they hit the floor. The camera zooms in to microscopic level and you see minute life forms (bacteria) on the crumbs. You zoom in even further to see the atoms. Time slows proportinately. You witness the impact and devestation as the crumbs collide with the floor, causing great distress to the millions of micobes. You zoom in even further to a human like microbe brushing bread crumbs off a table.
For the love line you could have a piece of battenberg cake and some victoria sponge, and have the 'two worlds' collide, and two microbes lusting after each other; which would actually be a good title for the film...The Battenberg Files.

That would be awesome in 3D....The film starts with a man (or woman) brusing bread crumbs off a worktop. The camera zooms into the bread crumbs in great detail as they hit the floor. 2. I had an idea for a sci-fi film. It's set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. It's about a boy, let's call him....Frank, Frank Cloudjumper, right, and he meets this old guy, let's call him....Toby, Toby Juan Moby. Toby is some kind of space ninja who teaches Frank how to be a space ninja and defeat the dark lord of the universe, Mark Shader. The twist is that Frank and Mark are related, but they don't know it. There could also be a princess involved as a love interest, who also turns out to be related to them.
It's a winner, Tom.
