eh? but Sky have bought the exclusive rights to it, probably for a very large sum of money. At least Sky have made the effort, why didnt the BBC make a bid for it, or any other terestrial channel?
Then again i have Sky HD and Sky Movies, and if i didnt this is exactly the sort of thing i'd pay the extra for.

im disgusted in sky, im a huge fan of band of brothers but there is no way im subscribing to sky movies just for this mini series, it should be shown on sky1.... sky are trying to milk its customers.
I love football, so I get Sky Sports. That's just the way. They want you to get Sky Movies to watch it. That is their choice as the rights would have cost them a fortune. Also, IMHO I would rather pay for a premium channel rather than sit through adverts.
Also IMHO a year later it will be replayed on a non-premium channel with 3 advert breaks an hour.
You pays your money, you takes your choice.

You pays your money, you takes your choice.Sky is a pay-to-view broadcaster, with varying levels of cost. It's not surprising that they're going to want to maximise the return on their investment in this series by sticking it on a channel that a good chunk of those interested in seeing may not already pay for.
I can't say I like it much (as someone who doesn't pay for the movie channels) but I do understand why they're doing it.
Of course, it won't be hard to source the programme entirely free of charge within hours of it airing, so it if bothers you that much explore other means to find it.....

I've been watching BofB again since I've just bought a swanky new HC set-up, and I have to say I'm happy to wait for this to come out on Blu-Ray.
Personally I found BofB disappointing when viewed again. There are some appalling CGI effects - the aircraft being notable exceptions - and the scenes set in winter are about as convincing as the muppets Christmas special.
I'll no doubt get flamed for this opinion, once past the initial shock and awe that this and SPR had, they're actually pretty average in many respects.
It'll be interesting to see how The Pacific turns out.
