Here's my opinion about shows like family guy and southpark. For example how they make fun of christopher reeves. Like, no one stops to say how wrong it is. His poor family, hs to be the but of the joke of their handicapp husband. You know his kids probably seen the episodes, god how hurt they must have been.

Let me say this, just because its funny doesn't make it right. Where's the censorship on these programs.

My take is that people know what these shows are like so if you don't want to see these types of piss take then don't watch them.

I think South Park and Family Guy are great.

It's a little button on your TV. You know, the one that switches it off.

If you want to have everything that may cause offense censored then you may as well just watch a blank screen.

Has anyone been watching the family guy spin off? The Cleveland show is on E4 on monday nights, I don't think Cleveland is as strong a character as Peter but its getting better.

Programs like this are always seeing how far they can take there comedy and i for one am glad as its provided me with many hours of laughter.

one that sticks in my mind is

Frickin FCC

this was the first episode after being off the air for a few years due to censorship, but due to popular demand was brought back to our telly

THANK YOU

I loved it.

I think that was the first time I'd seen any Down Syndrom mocking in a hit TV show. I always thought it was one of those things people didn't dare touch.

Nothing should be off-limits IMO.

You raise a valid point but we all have the option not to watch it.

The only scene that ever really shocked me when watching Family Guy was a reference to Michael J Fox playing Zorro but it was still amusing even though it shouldn't be.

I'll continue to keep watching Family Guy as it's nice to be able to watch a show that hasn't been completely destroyed by political correctness or censorship.

Hehe....

Family Guy plot condemned by Palin

"The episode features the character Chris falling for a girl with Down's syndrome. On a date, he asks what her parents do. She replies: "My dad's an accountant and my mom is the former governor of Alaska.""

I just read this on BBC news licky clicky. But I was more upset to find out she has a child called Trig, I now have to live with the fact she named her child after me.
