Would somebody please tell Ed wotsit not to keep screaming his head off ALL the time? OK so skiing is fast, but so is F1 and Martin Brundle doesn't have to shout as if the world is ending. Quite spoils the programme. Bah.

It was certainly worth a raised voice when thingy fell over near the finish, yep.

Seems to me that ski-cross is mostly about the start and how quickly they get over the first three humps. Now if I'd designed the course I'd have a long fast straight into a hairpin

Ski Cross, was bloody exciting. I have never seen it before, and has to be my top sport of the winter Olympics so far.

Fine as a snowboarder/personality and good to watch in that Arctic Man event - but not as a commentator. Graham Bell would have been just fine on his own. Thing is - if you're screaming at 110% all the time, not only is it tiring but there's nowhere to go when something exciting happens.

"And the Big Man is on his way." - All DHers are enormous, so the "Big" seems slightly superfluous.

"[Victim of spectacular crash who has just got up, and started limping out of the netting] has walked away from that, just like Herman Maier".

Graham Bell - "When I raced here, I had a crash and ended up [insert perilous outcome of your choice]". - Normally when ex-stars recount anecdotes it's time to switch off, but Mr Bell's are seemingly always about his mishaps, and very amusing as a result.

I don't think the BBC's winter coverage has been a patch on their Beijing coverage which I thought was just superb. I even have their highlights/summary program in HD saved on my Sky+ box I thought it was that good.
