Yeah, that's what I get from what the reviews have said - is it a good film though? Based on the book by the guy that also wrote 'No Country for Old Men'.

It was ok nothing great really and a bit slow, The book of Eli was out at the same time also based in a post apocolyptic world and that i found much better as it was similar to the fallout series of games.

Very good book, but not what you'd call 'pink and fluffy'. Half want to watch the film, but I'd need to be in the right mood!

That's why it's so compelling; no garnish, almost no glimmer of hope, utterly desolate and unremittingly bleak.

Very few films go all out without resorting to forced 'edginess' or a 'twist' to keep audiences happy.

We went and watched this earlier.

Very desolate in many ways. It's a cruel world when you have nothing and there is nothing to have. Even surviving might not be the right path to take - killing oneself is a luxury not to be had in these times (I paraphrase)

I thought the end, which I believe to be different to the book, was a bit of a cop out but maybe the director thought there had to be some sort of silver lining after taking you through the utter misery.

Definately a film to be watched on DVD, as I'm assuiming it is out of the cinemas in the UK now.
