Anyone seen this yet? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0898367/
Heard a great review on the radio and the IMDB stuff sounds interesting.

I thought the book was crap, depressing and you're waiting for something to happen and then, oh, nothing.
That's why it's so compelling; no garnish, almost no glimmer of hope, utterly desolate and unremittingly bleak. Very few films go all out without resorting to forced 'edginess' or a 'twist' to keep audiences happy.
We went and watched this earlier.
Very desolate in many ways. It's a cruel world when you have nothing and there is nothing to have. Even surviving might not be the right path to take - killing oneself is a luxury not to be had in these times (I paraphrase)
I thought the end, which I believe to be different to the book, was a bit of a cop out but maybe the director thought there had to be some sort of silver lining after taking you through the utter misery.
Definately a film to be watched on DVD, as I'm assuiming it is out of the cinemas in the UK now.
