Having just read through this it got me thinking of a couple of days after Christmas when I decided to suck it up and watch a couple of chick flicks back to back with the OH.

The Holiday, followed by Notting Hill. Both were good, made even better by the fact I expected them to be utter carp.

I like The Holiday alot, Cameron Diaz..

Notting Hill is pretty good, along with About A Boy but I quite like Hugh Grant in whatever he plays.

The High School Musical films I liked. But I don't admit that in public..

12 rounds and watchmen I expected to be rubbish but because I went in with low expectations I acctually enjoyed them.

I've never seen or read any of the Harry Potter films/books but I watched most of The Goblet of Fire yesterday and it was much better than I was expecting.

American Pie & Cass spring to mind.

Also the latest Star Trek film I thought would be okay, but I actually really enjoyed it

I watched Bicentennial Man on BBC2 today. I thought it would be so "nice it's annoying." But it was excellent. The film starred Robin Williams and Sam Neill.

Kick Ass, I thought I was going to see a kids film as I hadn't looked at any reviews and was slightly confused as to why I was being dragged along to it. Didn't realise it was a 15 and it was very enjoyable.

I really expected "The Transporter" to be complete rubbish, turned out to be reasonable, along with the two sequels.
