Hi guys at the Pistonheads Massive (no homo) hehe

For those of you who don't know what UFC is, get into it!

Most of you I'm sure will watch or have watched some of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. I have just finished watching 112, having also just recently watched 111. (GSP! GSP!) biggrin

112 Head liner fight was extremely disappointing, Silva Vs. Maia

I am still left frustrated at the result of this fight, Silva fronting and clowning around. If only Maia could have got him to the ground and put him in his place. Silva should have finished that fight first round.

Your thoughts please...

the thing i liked about the early ones was the fights where quite random.
500lb sumo vs 160lb kickboxer, and barroom brawler vs highly skilled martial artist.
they didnt wear gloves or mits back then either.

i know the standard of fighter entering ufc has risen to profesional mma stars but its lost a lot of the 'wildcard' effect of the earlyer events.

Its too polished and over promoted now. It is no longer about different disciplines squaring off to see who is best. They all train the same, fight the same, use the same moves, wear the same pants etc.

That Ultimate Fighter Big Brother House-mates type rubbish was the end for me.
