I went to see him last month in Preston.

I thought his act was spoiled by a lot of completely unnecessary gratuitous swearing which was distracting. I really don't why he does it. He's a funny guy and his material's generally good.

As evidenced by his warm up man, Simon Evans (who by the way was hilarious), a well timed profanity can be gut bustingly funny. But, swearing just for the sake of it isn't funny at all.
