Who said that? Who the fk said that? Who's the slimy little twinkle-toed cocksucker down there who just signed his own death warrant?

Interesting fact, R. Lee Ermey was't supposed to play the part of Hartman. He was on the set as a technical advisor as he was a Gunnery Sergeant in real life, and he convinced Kubrick he was the right person for the role

Avoiding like the plague, thanks! thumbup

Standard Kubrick, visually brilliant and great music. But, in the end, you don't care about any of the characters.

We're watching Deathwish 4.

ETA- Fantastic ending. Possibly, just possibly, the bad guys shoes were salvageable! hehe

Who's the leader of the club

Hey! there, Hi! there, Ho! there
You're as welcome as can be
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Love that ending, such a total contrast to that desolate wasteland.

Favourite line has to be either.... "you loook like you could suck a golf ball through a garden hose"

or

"Private Pyle I'm gonna give you three seconds; exactly three-fking-seconds to wipe that stupid looking grin off your face or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull-fk you!"

It was ruined for me when I found out it was shot entirely in England as Kubrick refused to fly. When I watch it now, the sets do look too English.

Apocalypse Now was better. It was filmed along the Thames up near Henley.

I prefer FMJ. For me Apoc Now was as flabby is it's star, Orson Welles.

Ad libbed a lot of his dialogue too.

"I bet you're the kind of guy that would fk a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I'll be watching you."
