An early awaited film this, for me and my neps and mates.

An old spiderman enemy Whiplash, and War Machine!

Question. Anyone know why in the promo posters his omi-beam is round and in some posters in the same pose it is triangular?

I don't know the answer, but I did find myself asking the exact same question while reading the Empire article this month.

I so want this to be good. Just hope it won't end up being another shocking sequel.

If it has the same director, it won't be.

The soundtrack does sound good.
And Bob Downy jnr as Stark was sublime choice. He fits that character like MAguire fitted the nerdy Peter Parker.
Shame they are rebooting the SPidey franchise, what is the fracking point?

No reason to reboot the franchise. They will not find a better character to play PP than Toby Maguire.
Spidey 3 was not as good as the first two, but still a load better than most comic book films.

I disagree, They took the wrong direction with 3 altogether, Too many villains, ( and in this and the previous films have killed off a huge portion of spideys regular rogues gallery) They The film also seemed aimed at a younger audience yet they introduced venom who should be spidermans worse nightmare and would be hard to continue the symbiote storyline as carnage is even nastier. Sequels would have to use fringe villains or New ones altogether or Resurrect dead ones, all of which would cause Nerd rage. Don’t me started on Parkers eyeliner,

McGuire was great as spidey, But a reboot would a hard sell with the same actor

One of the good things aboot films is you get to see fringe bad guys. Whiplash in Iron Man 2 as an example.

I don't see the point in a reboot so close to the other version...having said that...The Incredible Hulk was absolutely brilliant, and much better than Hulk. I do think they should have stuck with Maguire for a few more films. Spiderman is blessed with one of the most catholic lists of foes, would love to see Rhino, Vulture, Kingpin, Puma, Kraven etc up there, and of course the Hobgoblinbiggrin

Isn't there a big superheroes movie planned for the near future? Superman, Iron Man, the Hulk, Spiderman etc etc?

As ofcorsa says, Avengers will be out soonish. With Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Capitan America in the line up, with the addition of most likely the Wasp and Ant-Man. The original comic line-up (not Cap USA but that is a nerdy thingbiggrin)
Spider-Man won't be a part of it, but wouldn't be surprised if they cross over one day...so long as these things continue to make money, they will prolly reboot it again in a few yearbiggrin

Superman is DC you heathan!

The Avengers is indeed in the pipeline, what you will see is individual films like IronMan and Thor with cameo's from the other comic characters for all the individuals of the Avengers and then an Avengers film with them all in.

That is why you see Samuel L Jackson at the end of the first IronMan film to introduce his character.

They have huge plans for this franchise.

Didn't Maguire choose to walk away from the franchise, rather than being pushed? I was pretty sure that both he and Raimi called it a day after the problems with Spiderman 3.

In Spiderman 3 Raimi was reported to be pissed off at having so many bad guys forced on him. He didn't want Venom in the film but the studio insisted on the addition. I think that when they came to try and come up with a Spiderman 4 plot there were disagreements between Raimi and the studio and Raimi left. Followed by Maguire.
