Nice easy one.

What's your favourite piece of music from a film?

For me, the haunting 'In the house - in a heartbeat', from both '28 Days Later' and '28 Weeks Later' has to be right up there.

Not so keen on the first one, but the second and third songs were really good.

Always loved the True Romance theme, really good film to boot as well!

Anyway, my contributions

I prefer the recomposed orchestral version used by many, many trailers - most notably LOTR-The Two Towers.

But the beacon lighting sequence above from Return of the King is superb - Howard Shore is second only to John Williams, in my opinion, in putting a score to a film.

That was the one I was after, but I forgot the name, thank you FG.

I think Clint Mansell puts together a good score, Hans Zimmer is up there aswell.

No worries - it just happens to be one of my favourite pieces biggrin

I certainly rate Zimmer and Mansell (although I'm a diehard PWEI fan, so I have some bias tongue out), I just think Williams is god when it comes to scores biggrin And Shore did a fantastic job with the LOTR trilogy.

Bit of a cheat as not written for the film (It crops up in plenty)but Adagio for strings in Platoon

Dead Can Dance The Host Of Seraphim from the end of the Mist would be there for me to as it sums up the rather depressing ending.
