Caught about 20 mins of something I think was called GT Driver this morning on Channel 4. From what I could tell it appears they got some guys who are good on the PS3 racing games and put them in real cars to see how they got on, culminating in a GT race in Dubai.
Seemed quite interesting, a couple of the guys drove rather well.

I saw that one too, it started out as an online leaderboard on a Gran Turismo game (if its the one I'm thinking of its a one off download that just had the 350Z and one track), the fastest from each country going through to finals, then track sessions at Silverstone, UK races to get a race licence for a 24hr race in Dubai. I did have a giggle at how many times they had to blur out sponsors logos everywhere
. It was a good one, apart from Colin Murray's voice, and some of the speeches were a bit 'lets be over the top and sound important because we're on the television'.

I was at the Dubai race at the beginning of 09 and met Lucas Ordonez, the guy that won. He did pretty well in the race and has gone on to a proper race career since - http://www.lucasordonez.com/
They've just announced this year's winner too - http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/academy/2010/. He'll be racing at the European GT4 Cup next weekend.
