So they've remade "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Out May 7th.
The original was an absolutely iconic movie. Shame about the sequels, despite them making money.
Johnny Depp's debut - a part that required him to turn into soup.
I remember it being heart-stoppingly shocking.
Did they need to remake it, I wonder. Tempted to see it, if mainly for nostalgia's sake.

I loved the original (not so much the sequels) and will watch this remake (just to see if they try and put a new spin on the story). However it will never have the impact of seeing the original for the first time. A true classic horror film.
However, there's a whole generation of people who have probably never seen the first film, so this remake is probably targetted at them.
