You do know that not all his stuff is quite as dramatic as it appears on camera don't you?

I assume he does as there's usually a disclaimer before the program explaining that some scenarios are setup for him to demonstrate what to do in those situations. I'm pretty sure the OP doesn't really think he's dropped into a wasteland with no gear and then left to make his way home on his own. Despite this, his shows are still entertaining and he's still pretty good at what he does, the Everest episode for example was rather decent I thought.

He uses more dramatic licence than 'Fatty' for sure, but take it with a pinch of salt and it can be entertaining.

I take it for what it is and enjoy learning about the survival tips he dishes out.

Did have a little chuckle when his hammock gave way the first time he got into it last night!

This man has what must be the most annoying voice on television. This plus the pretending are the reasons I've not watched it after the first (and only) couple of minutes.
