Yes, your soul.

Can't believe I had to edit that - I really should be watching the Quali and not typing at the same time.

Bloody ambiwlans chasers punch

It seems that when you seek quotes for your motor renewal and declare an accident the site/broker then pass on your details to these leeches. I've been pestered by these b@stards over the last weeks and one of them finally let slip how he got my details.

Leech: "May I speak to Mr Flintstone?"
Me: "Speaking"
Leech: "My name's Archie from Accident Claims Spongers Inc. Just a courtesy call, we dealt with you on your claim and I'm phoning to talk to you about claiming for any injuries you received".
Me: "I don't remember dealing with you"
Leech: "Ah, well. Yes. Ummmm, when you apply for a quote the company send us your details. Now, about your injuries"
Me: "I see. On what basis do you want to deal with me?"
Leech: "Well, we'd take you on as a client and you might be entitled to as much as four figures in compensation"
Me: "So as your client the first thing you've done is lie to me"
Leech: "When?"
Me: "Just now when you told me you dealt with my claim. You said you'd dealt with my claim when you knew damn well you hadn't. You just admitted this is a cold call"
Leech: "Ummmmm......."
Me: "What was your name again?"

Makes perfect sense now.

A bit like the police used to pass one's details to them victim support people.

But they're 'real lawyers' and I for one find that reassuring.

I tried to buy a paper from a mythical newsagent the other day - most disconcerting.

I think I prefer the concept of imaginary lawyers, myself.

He's not though. He's an actor.

If he said "they're real lawyers, but I'm an out of work actor" I might take them more seriously.

Also, I really don't think the text-speak "4U" does them any favours.

In summary: "Shysters 4u" more like.
