I think this show highlights the fact that Stephen Marchant and Karl Pilkington are far funnier than Ricky. When I've watched it all you hear is Ricky giggling at the other two.

Karl Pilkington is one of the funniest people I have ever seen/listened to!
Although there is an ongoing debate about whether it's an act or not.
My opinion is that he's not an act, but he plays on it a bit to make it funnier; really quite clever considering he is supposed to be stupid!

The problem I have with it is that I often see some twisted sort of logic to Karl's ideas and think they're just picking on him for the sake of it.

For example, when he was taking about retained memories in people who've had organ transplants they just ripped into him like it was some crazy, batst insane idea he conjured up when that's not the case at all.

Same with monkey news, they rip into him for these outrageous stories about monkeys doing crazy things but always ignore (even when he constantly points it out) that he's simply reading an email someone else has sent in.

The other stuff he says, for example agreeing on his girlfriends new hair style, is funny because it's true.

Very amusing when the podcasts are listened to, I think they lost something in the transfer to audio AND visual.

Ricky's laugh is quite irritating though.

I recognised a lot of the material in the first 2 or 3 episodes from the very first podcasts he did back in 2005.

That's all they are, the podcasts synced up to some animation.

Which you can get from here:

And the podcasts were basically a rehash of their XFM radio shows from years back (pre and post filming the office).

I loved the Radio shows. Had a CD of all shows recorded (minus the music) and would happily listen to again.

However, with the coming of the TV show, the enthusiasm which they have for laughing at material that once appeared off the cuff (radio shows) to rehearsed (podcasts) to rehashed (TV show) is remarkable.

Gervais is a better actor than i gave him credit for...
