What film? Van colour change

Appreciate this is a weird topic but i've just finished watching The Day of the Jackal (the original not the remake with Willis & Gere!)

Thing is I could have sworn that there was a scene in it whereby the Jackal changes the colour of a van by washing off the paint with a hose in an underground car park. IIRC from white to a darker colour.

After finishing the film I was obviously mistaken but I can't for the life of me think of the film that this scene was in. I'm sure it was in a similarly themed film however it's not the easiest thing to search for on Google.

Can anyone shed any light on whether i'm going mad or not and what the film is?

It happens in "The Jackal" starring Bruce Willis. In "The Day of the Jackal", he resprays his car.

Hmmm, could have sworn it was a classic film from the seventies & I can't ever remember watching the remake of the Jackal (damn you memory fade!), I do have it in my "to watch" collection though so I may well watch it tomorrow night to try & clear this up.

In order to satisfy my curiosity before bed i've just skipped through The Jackal & it looks like the scene I was thinking of. Utterly confusing as I was sure i'd never seen the film!

I also think washing paint off has been used in at least a couple of films.

They did it in Taxi too (The original french version, not the rubbish remake)

The Germans had Mercs that were used in a bank robbery, they sprayed them red in 10 minutes in the back of a lorry

Also, in Johnny Dangerously they use shelf paper to change the color of the car from black to white to yellow and blue with duckies (or similar).
