On catch up of 24 serie 7 and at point where president is refusing to give into the terrorists.
This sparked a memoery of a film I watched where the president DID give into demands, and this spiralled out whereby the "terrorists" knew they had the upper hand and that the country was then pliable to any demand they wanted.
Not much to go on for you lot but its driving me nuts trying to remember the film.

Pretty sure I saw the scene your describe quite recently (mafia meet, all round a round-table yeah?) and The Untouchables is the only de Nero film I've seen in the past few months.boomboompow said:

Talking about films, a friend of mine was telling me her OH was very good at puzzles, I asked her if she remembered an autistic boy who cracked a puzzle, which was supposidly uncrackable, it was in fact the best security system the USA had, so they set out to kill the kid, stared Bruce Willis.
Anyway couldnt remember it, so googled Willis's films and came across the film, "Mercury Rising", good film.
Anyway I then went out and brought the Scottish Daily Mail, which I don't usually do, and reading through, there was an article on swimming in rivers and ponds.
The article sarted with "With the mercury rising................." spooky or wot?
Totally useless post, but just thought I would share that with you.

te speller, well spotted.To OP I asked hubby as he is usually very good for remembering films but the only one he could think of was Air Force One but he knows it doesn't quite fir the plot you've described. Hope you get your answer soon, it'd bug me aswell!
