Move along everyone.
Move along everyone.
Yeah, this was all over Twitter yesterday.
There is an element of truth in it, though. The film was released early July 1985, and at the beginning, just before the Libyans get there, Doc says he's going to go 25 years into the future. No specific date is mentioned, though (plus the date in the film in the carpark is Oct 26.)

They may have had hoverboards but I have a phone that tells me where I am in the world to withing a few feet, and then give me directions to somewhere else, It can store hundreds of 12" records, it can store a good few films, It can send letters to people anywhere in the world almost instantly. It can find and retrieve a huge amount of data (compared to 1985 anyway) wherever I am that has signal. I will take that over a hoverboard anyway.
