Getting Audio Off Sky Box Onto Computer?
Discussion
I recorded a Glastonbury set on the Sky+ box and would like to know if there's any way of getting it off the Sky+ box and onto my macbook so I can listen to it on my MP3 player?
I've checked the BBC Iplayer site and they don't have the set on there and I can't find it on Youtube either!

I have been dumping TVs Glasto coverage off to my audio player since 2000 - I now have quite a collection.
You can output it via the phono L & R outs, via the SCART o/ps (with a SCART breakout lead) or via the optical o/p from your Sky box. Remember the dub has to be done in real time due to Sky encription. I record it straight to my PC and then use an audio editor to nip, tuck and mix it. I used to burn it to CD but now it's all held as WAV or 320 k/b MP3 on a 500Gb drive. BTW watch what you use as source recordings, the stuff broadcast on BBC3 this year was noticably inferior in sound quality to the BBC2 transmissions (no dynamic range). I can only think it's down to the DTT compression used on this channel. Hope this helps.
