On itv now. One young bloke ragging a type-R in a 30 and stacks way off the road and into a tree -computer estimates speed at 72mph. He blinds his mate in one eye. Other is another young bloke in a fiesta ST with big wheels and wuad exhausts stacking it off a dual carriageway during rush hour and killing a passenger. All told a pretty shocking display for Young male drivers, especially as these both seemed to happen in the same county within 24hours of each other. There was a camera in the fiesta which had footage of the driver (banned btw) on the motorway accelerating away from an Impreza STi and claiming to have 'just wasted a Scooby'...
All in all the detective work done is pretty impressive. Makes you wonder about those countries that don't have or can't afford this type of detailed investigation. It must be bedlam?

Did you see the brake test they did with a Galaxy to compare skid marks at 30? The police Galaxy locked all its wheels, no abs at all. They even showed it in slo mo. Wierd.

For crash investigation they may need to measure the coefficient of friction between tyres and road surface and stopping distances on particular road surface, hence some Police vehicles can disable ABS to carry out these tests.

What an utterly tragic waste of life. And you have to feel for that copper who held the girl's hand as she passed away, unable to do anything to help her.

It's evidently not doing an awful lot to prevent morons creating carnage here, so I wonder what they're missing out on. Especially when the perp just (?) gets a ban.

They should get offenders on community service cleaning up after RTAs and going with cops to tell the families of those that die.

The program definitely made me think about driving safely... The way the police just treated it like it was totally normal when these people died just driving along mundanely.
