Done a quick search, couldn't find any threads from last week.

Just finished watching this on the HDR. The drama where the deaf girl witnesses a murder carried out by her uncle's colleagues in the drug squad.

WTF? Did the producers get told unexpectedly whilst filming episode four that there wouldn't be an episode five? Did Jim die? Did the boxer cop actually make his statement? Did the two nasties get their come-uppance? Did Amelia ever lose the chip on her shoulder? (Nice gratuitous BJ in a bog scene, but why?)

Anyone else feel cheated that having invested four evenings of their lives, it just stopped? Rocky walking away saying 'I'll do my best' (sic) does not a good ending make.

Yes, I found myself getting increasingly annoyed at the stupidity of the plot in some cases too. It could have been much, much better.

I was looking forward to this very much, as I do rate most drama output by the BBC quite highly (although Triffids and Survivors were disappointing..).
However, I found this tedious in the extreme, and played out like some drama student’s first ‘PC’ screenplay, hoping to tick all the right boxes for the BBC left wingers to give it the go-ahead.
I did find myself switching it over mid-way through the third episode – and that’s where I left it….

Ah only watched one episode...

Unusually not annoyed at the spoilers at all, frankly you've just saved me some time, thanks. So it got no better then?

Did Dervla get her kit off at any point? No?

I agree, plotwise it did just slam head first into a brick wall, I don't think they answered any questions that cropped up during the four episodes, terrible writing.

+1 million.

I really enjoyed this, and it seemed to get better and better after a slowish start. The ending was absolutley awful. Really crap and unsatisfying, and it would only have taken a 30 sec shot of beardy in handcuffs etc to make it more complete.

Fell at the last hurdle.
