Stonewall chief executive Ben Summerskill said: "Of course it's welcome that some of the most obnoxious unpleasantness of people such as Jeremy Clarkson is now being edited out before transmission.
Wait... what? I know JC makes the odd ribbing remark towards James May, but I'd hardly offer him up as a prime example of a homophobe. Streetrod said:
Well could ask his long standing girlfriend but I suspect not...
Well, there is no shortage of married men who are gay..... I mean, I know of an F1 driver with a girlfriend (of some time) who some say bats for the other side..
However, fair one, May is not Gay.....
As to the OP, I might be wrong BUT I think Clarkson says things specifically to annoy the PC brigade....

What a pathetic press release. As if the portrayal of gay people should be 100% positive.
IMO, the press release wasn't saying that it had to be 100% positive, but realistic. There's a big difference there. I still think Stonewall, and Ben Summerskill in particular, can be blindingly useless at times though. As a gay man, I find it interesting that these people whom I'm supposedly meant to support come out with such utter twaddle. Yes, the portrayal of gay people on telly is not 100% realistic. Then again, there is no portrayal of anyone on television that is 100% realistic, as a portrayal can never be entirely life-like, as it's A PORTRAYAL IT'S NOT REAL LIFE YOU fWhat a pathetic press release. As if the portrayal of gay people should be 100% positive.
kING IDIOTS. Sorry. They make me angry

It's ridiculous!
Why on earth can't anyone make jokes these days without someone somewhere voicing their hurt and dismay?!
As a gay, I don't find him homobic. I find him amusing.
As mentioned, Stonewall tend to brand any non-gay as a homophobe
